Well, Hades has frozen over! I am back here at Blogger to use it for vanity/inanity/insanity/general mirth & merriment/complaining about CFS, fibromyalgia, and migraines! I have a "premium" blog at Xanga with a custom URL, but it generates a lot of traffic on mostly the Christian posts, and I feel like I need a place to merely kick back, put my feet up on the coffee table, and, well, *vent*. Let my hair down. Be less formal and more my real (very imperfect) self. Thus, I am resurrecting my Blogger blog. Let the fun begin!
What have yall been watching on TV/for DVDs lately? For me, it's been a blend of The Beverly Hillbillies, Season One (from which I have gleaned some perfectly priceless humor phrases such as Granny Clampett saying that "Mrs. Drysdale is making more of a fuss than a two pound chicken laying a three pound egg", and Pearl Bodine mentioning that Mrs. Drysdale generally makes the Clampetts "feel about as welcome as a wet dog at a wedding"), and Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, a film version made in 1935 which was scintillating, magical, and hilarious.
Tonight, 'twill be Othello and The Dick Van Dyke Show, Season Four, whilst noshing/medicating with my famous melt-in-your-mouth double fudge brownies, and a bottle of Coca-Cola. I often indulge in chocolate; I *HAVE* to because I can't tolerate Prozac, and I don't drink alcohol very often. I don't often imbibe Coca-Cola (nor any other sweetened carbonated beverages), but I am emotionally in the dumps this weekend and feel that drastic caffeinated measures are in order. *grin*
Well, 'tis time to fold clean laundry and stow it away neatly. Dad is going out shopping for flashlights and batteries (thunderstorm season is about to commence in earnest), and I want to listen to some Celtic fiddle music. (Bonnie Rideout and Liz Carroll).
Ta Ta For Now!
